Being a person who enjoys challenge, I decided to take English classes in my free time to be more competitive in the professional field. The classes were very dynamic and fun, great hints and tips were given that covered organizing, preparing, and accomplishing the writing as well as how to survive the process of learning another language without being intimidated.

There were several other topics covered that met my expectations. After taking this course I developed more skills and confidence and went on to Boston, Ma. where I got accepted into Harvard University. It is very rewarding to overcome the obstacles of learning English, especially when you have a great teacher that helps you to accomplish your goals.

Currently, I work for an American Company in Phoenix, Arizona, as the Manager of Marketing Development. It is very clear to me that what I have accomplished would not have been possible the way I first envisioned it, if I would not have taken this program. Life is short, so is grandma! (I also learned the culture!)

Los métodos didácticos utilizados en Corporate Languages permitían llevar una clase muy dinámica que complementaba las cuatro habilidades necesarias del idioma inglés: leer, escribir, hablar y entender. Inglés empresarial además me permitió obtener los conocimientos necesarios para asistir a cursos en Estados Unidos, aplicar para el examen TOEFL y estudiar una maestría en la Universidad de Phoenix.

Although I had taken Spanish in high school, I came to Hermosillo withouth being able to speak any Spanish except for a few basic phrases. I progressed from reading news articles in Spanish where I had to look up almost every word to reading the whole newspaper without looking up any words whatsoever.

Classes were very informative, practical and entertaining. Due to my teacher's refutal to speak to me in English, I had to learn to hold conversations not only with her, but with all the Mexicans with whom I came into contact from the gasoline station to the grocery store to my children's teachers who only spoke Spanish.

My Spanish ability is still progressing as I have yet to master the language, however, due to Conversational Spanish, I definitely feel comfortable now residing in a Spanish speaking country with the knowledge that I can handle any situation that may arise. I would recommend this program without hesitation to any person or institution interested in retaining their services. In fact, I have recommended them many times to people who have heard me speaking Spanish with an American accent and asked me how I was able to speak Spanish after residing in Mexico for such a short time. It is truly a gift to learn another language and I will always be indebted to Marcela Renteria for opening up this whole new world to me.
